The undercarriages market is extensive and we are very young, before thinking of diversifying production I think is more correct to complete the range groped facing markets now unknown to us. Only when we have walked this path, without actual results, we could think of something other than an undercarriage.
The market is slowly accepting the reduction in quality for the benefit of cost reduction.And 'the right path for the future? Tracmec believe that it is not a good choice and to confirm this vision we installed a SHW in 2009 with field work 10.000x1.700x3.100 mm CNC with automatic tool changer and power of 42 kW.
From the first quarter of 2010 Tracmec has invested to implement the quality system and product certification EN 3834.2 on the welding process, steps that require the company to a “MADE IN ITALY” production that is synonymous of quality and future business .
Other competitors chosen different paths that will generate benefit in the short term but we think they can pay for this choice in the future.
Have you made an undercarriage with electric motors.Believe that this is the way of the future?There are more openings for innovation in this area?
We participated in a project where machines will work in the underground, where it is very important to contain the pollution caused by combustion engines. The result has been positive but now applicable to small markets. The large scale application of the concept may be valid for machines that have a high utilization of the translation during normal working phases. In this case the high-efficiency electric motor helps reduce the required power to the engine, its natural scaling, and then both the fuel consumption which, consequently, on pollution. The most important example is given by CAT D7E
TracMec had contributed to the development and implementation of a all-electric mill for underground applications.
The machine was produced by Baioni Crushing Plants SpA, using TracMec undercarriage, powered Trasmital-Bonfiglioli. TracMec want start contributing to the development of machines that can reduce CO2 emissions and at the same time have a cost savings.
